The Mountain of Paperwork!

How many different pieces of paper and photocopies of records does one need to get into such a tiny country!?!?  Here's a list of all the papers I have collected and will need to bring into Kuwait with me (so far....the list keeps growing!):

- passport     - teaching certification
- birth certificate - police record check and clearance
- university degree - HIV, HEP B & C blood test results
- university transcripts - doctor report on health clearance
- college transcripts - official ACA letter of employment
- stamped letter of verification - official Kuwait issued work visa
- blood type card - various other Kuwait Embassy issued documents

Needless to say, it has been a very busy Spring trying to collect and track down all these different things!  However, all this work is totally worth it as I am in great need of an adventure overseas in a foreign land.

Getting Started...

Alright, so this is my first blog and I apologize in advance if it is not very fancy, but I'm learning! LOL

As most of you know, I am off to work in Kuwait for 10 months, teaching at the American Creativity Academy.  I will be teaching Grade 6 English and Social Studies and am really looking forward to it! :)
Where is Kuwait?  When I tell people where I'm moving to at the beginning of September, the majority have no idea where this country is!   Kuwait is a little country (just under 18,000 km2) located in the Middle East with Iraq and Saudi Arabia as its neighbours to the North, West and South, and the Arabian Gulf (known to us Westerners as the Persian Gulf!) forming its Eastern border.
